Frequently Asked Questions
I placed a pre-order for a publication and it hasn’t arrived yet. When can I expect it?
With rare exceptions, our pre-order titles ship in the month indicated in their listing. You’ll see this month noted in your order confirmation email, as part of the publication’s title or description. We might get to it earlier in the month or later, depending on what other work needs to be done. When your order is on its way we will send a shipping confirmation, along with any available tracking information, to the email address you provided when you ordered.
I am ordering from outside the United States. Why is the shipping cost on my order so expensive?
Our shipping costs are based on the current rates from the United States Postal Service. While we love it when you buy from our shop, you may be able to get the same publications at a more reasonable shipping rate from a source closer to where you live, such as directly from the publisher or from a nearby distributor.
Is it possible to combine shipping costs if I place simultaneous orders through the Peculiar Parish Bookshop and Fiddler’s Green?
This is a service we have provided in the past, and hope to again in the future. We will make an announcement once it’s again possible.
Are the new pamphlets limited in stock? Are any available for wholesale?
Most of our offerings at the Peculiar Parish Bookshop are single copies from our collection or limited quantities we’ve purchased from publishers. A few titles are ones we’ve published ourselves and are available in larger quantities. If you have a shop and are interested in reselling such titles, please drop us a line.
I saw a listing on Instagram/Facebook, but can’t find it in the shop.
Most likely it already sold. We are deaccessioning a large number of single-copy books from our personal library. Each of these listings is taken down shortly after the book sells, to keep our shop page from getting too cluttered. A web search for the title and author you’re looking for will likely turn up a copy from another secondhand seller at a similar price.
