Pulling Cards, Pouring Beer & Discovering Self

Beer Tarot is a new zine by beer writer Courtney Iseman, presenting the history and practical basics of tarot and featuring interviews with people from the beer world about their connection to this tradition.

Readers will hear from Denver’s Trve Brewing founder E.J. Nunns and designer Max Sherman as they discuss the custom tarot deck they published for the brewery and the readings they host in the taproom. Also featured are Nacim Menu, the founder of Brasserie l’Ermitage, a brewery in Belgium themed around tarot, as well as Stephanie Grant, a beer writer who provides food and beer pairing advice based upon random tarot card pulls. Additionally, Iseman provides full card readings for six cards from Trve Brewing’s tarot deck.

In Beer Tarot, readers already familiar with the cards will discover a novel way to explore their interest, and those new to tarot will find a light, welcoming way to dip their toes into this divinatory and reflective practice.

Published by Bean to Barstool (2023). The Peculiar Parish Bookshop is delighted to add this intriguing new zine to our offerings. These copies are in new condition.
